I will probably try a few more pieces of software. The other thing I found useful about this software compared to Intelliscore and Digital Key was the ability to customize the settings on what it interpreted notes as. So even though the software was missing notes due to the complexity of the analog polyphonic synth I was working with (with 2 LFO's in the mix by the looks of the spectogram), I was able to bring it from a high level of accuracy to something I wanted. One feature I found in here that was really helpful was the ability to draw the midi notes directly onto the spectogram view. I'll be experimenting with some others to see if there are lower cost alternatives. If I have to do more remix projects I might have to add this one to my list. Tried Widisoft and had some pretty good success! Its a bit pricey, but it had some great features in it. Short of either of these options, can anyone recommend a good 3rd party software that can handle a polyphonic sample and convert it to midi?Įdit: Found a decent website that lists plenty of 3rd party apps. How about a good spectrum analyzer that could help me manually transcribe samples? It can only handle monophonic sounds and a single "instrument".Īnyone know of a polyphonic audio to midi rack extension? Reason 9's bounce to midi feature is not great.
